The Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center has a permanent poetry installation on the Discovery Trail.
The main building contains a meeting room, an exhibit room, a fully equipped kitchen, and overnight accomodations. Displayed in the building is an extensive collection of mounted animals including raptors and other birds, large and small mammals, snakes, and fish. The second building offers a conference room, a classroom, office space, a kitchen, and storage. The ELC also features an interpretive trail and an herb garden.
The facility is open for artists and performance groups to rent for workshops, performances, and rehearsal space. Summer camps are offered for children. Camp art projects include painting blue bird houses and printmaking, depending on the instructor.
The ELC has hosted an environmental art contest, including photography, ceramics, and paintings.
To get to the space, please use the turn by turn directions on the website.
